Artichoke Pendant Light
A real artichoke, immortalized in light.
The Artichoke Pendant Light is a very special and unique lighting object, entirely handmade in the ENZI Design studio in Amsterdam. The shape is not modeled or digitally designed, but comes directly from a real, large French artichoke with a diameter of approximately 15cm.
A silicone mold is handcrafted from this artichoke, preserving even the smallest veins, folds, and irregularities of the leaves. A specially developed translucent white casting resin is poured into this mold, creating a lifelike replica where the organic beauty of the original artichoke remains visible in detail.
Special material, warm light
The translucent white casting resin takes on a completely different appearance as soon as the lamp is switched on. The warm light spreads through the material, highlighting the varying thicknesses, veins, and structures of the leaves. This creates a soft and atmospheric light effect that brings the artichoke's shape to life even more.
Additionally, the material has a slightly flexible, almost rubbery quality. This gives the lamp a unique feel and makes it surprisingly resilient to bumps.
Each Artichoke Pendant Light is individually hand-cast and finished. Slight differences in material and finish are part of this artisanal process and make each piece unique.
Dimmable and replaceable light source
The lamp comes standard with a dimmable G9 LED light source of 2700K warm white. The G9 LED is replaceable, so the light source can be easily replaced if needed in the future.
Additionally, a 12V version with LED adapter and dimmer is available.
